PURPOSE THE PURPOSE OF THE PROPOSED GRANT PROJECT IS TO SPREAD GREATER AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL FAIR HOUSING LAWS AND CONNECT INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS TO THE SERVICES AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO COMBAT DISCRIMINATION. MANY VICTIMS FACING HOUSING DISCRIMINATION DO NOT SEEK REMEDIES BECAUSE THEY ARE UNAWARE OF FAIR HOUSING LAW AND THE ENFORCEMENT MECHANISMS AVAILABLE TO THEM.; ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: HOPE WILL CREATE AND PUBLISH PAID ADS COVERING FAIR HOUSING AWARENESS ON ANTISEMITISM AND ISLAMOPHOBIA. THESE ADS WILL INFORM BOTH CLIENTS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WORKING WITH THESE COMMUNITIES OF THEIR RIGHTS, WHAT A FAIR HOUSING VIOLATION MIGHT LOOK LIKE, AND WHERE TO REPORT DISCRIMINATION. ADDITIONALLY, HOPE WILL CREATE A FAQ PAGE ON ITS WEBSITE TO INFORM COMMUNITY MEMBERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND HOUSING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT FAIR HOUSING LAW AND OTHER AREAS THAT MAY RESULT IN HOUSING DISCRIMINATION. THIS PAGE WILL ALLOW INDIVIDUALS TO ACCESS ADDITIONAL RESOURCES SUCH AS HUD MEMOS. KEEPING ACCESSIBILITY IN MIND, HOPE WILL ALSO CREATE A LIBRARY OF BRIEF VIDEOS ON GENERAL FAIR HOUSING TOPICS, PROTECTED CLASSES THAT MAY BE UNDERREPORTED INCLUDING UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, TO BE HOSTED ON HOPE'S WEBSITE AND SHARED ACROSS ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. THIS WILL ENSURE INDIVIDUALS REMAIN INFORMED ABOUT THEIR FAIR HOUSING RIGHTS IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND FAIR HOUSING TRAININGS. ONLINE OUTREACH ALLOWS HOPE TO MAINTAIN A PRESENCE ACROSS THE FORTY COUNTIES IN ITS SERVICE AREA AND BEYOND.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: EXPECTED OUTCOMES HOPE'S PROPOSED GRANT PROJECT INCLUDES A VARIETY OF MEASURABLE OUTPUTS AND OUTCOMES. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO SPREAD GREATER AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF FAIR HOUSING LAWS TO SEVERAL TARGETED POPULATIONS. THEREFORE, THE MAIN OUTPUT OF THIS PROJECT WILL BE DIRECTLY REACHING HUNDREDS OF INDIVIDUALS EITHER SEEKING TO ACCESS OR ENJOY HOUSING, THOSE PROVIDING HOUSING RELATED SERVICES, AND THOSE PROVIDING HOUSING BY ORGANIZING EVENTS, TRAININGS, AND PRESENTATIONS TO DIRECTLY EDUCATE THESE GROUPS ON THEIR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. FURTHER HOPE WILL SPREAD EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS TO TENS OF THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS THROUGH STRATEGICALLY TARGETED DIGITAL MARKETING USING ITS OWN NETWORK AS WELL AS THROUGH PAID ADVERTISEMENTS. THE MAIN OUTCOME OF THESE ACTIVITIES WILL BE COMMUNITY MEMBERS, SOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS WHO WILL GAIN GREATER AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR FAIR HOUSING RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. HOPE WILL ORGANIZE ITS ANNUAL FAIR HOUSING CONFERENCE WHICH WILL DIRECTLY EDUCATE AN ESTIMATED 100 ATTENDEES ON COMPLEX AND EMERGING TOPICS IN FAIR HOUSING. HOPE WILL CONDUCT EIGHTEEN FAIR HOUSING EDUCATIONAL TRAININGS/PRESENTATIONS FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND/OR HOUSING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS, REACHING AN ESTIMATED 600 INDIVIDUALS. HOPE WILL PARTICIPATE IN RESOURCE FAIR OR TABLING STYLE EVENTS THAT ARE HOSTED BY OTHER LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AT WHICH HOPE WILL PROVIDE GENERAL FAIR HOUSING TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO AN ESTIMATED 1,000 ATTENDEES. HOPE WILL ALSO FOSTER PARTNERSHIPS WITH SIX LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT VARIOUS PRESENTATIONS AND INTERAGENCY REFERRALS. HOPE WILL DEVELOP FOUR ONLINE/SOCIAL MEDIA ADS, EIGHT SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, AND EIGHT ELECTRONIC FAIR HOUSING UPDATES TO ENGAGE IN DIGITAL OUTREACH ALLOWING HOPE TO REACH THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS ACROSS ITS ONLINE PLATFORMS. HOPE WILL ADDITIONALLY CREATE AND UPDATE A FAQ PAGE ON ITS WEBSITE WHICH WILL BE ACCESSED BY AN ESTIMATED 100 INDIVIDUALS. FINALLY, HOPE WILL DEVELOP FIVE BRIEF VIDEO FAIR HOUSING TRAININGS THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED ON ITS WEBSITE AND YOUTUBE PAGE AND VIEWED BY AN ESTIMATED 100 INDIVIDUALS.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: THE PROJECT WILL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO AND AFFIRMATIVELY MARKETED TO AREAS AND POPULATIONS VULNERABLE TO HOUSING DISCRIMINATION TO ENSURE IT IS WIDE REACHING. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, TRAININGS, PRESENTATIONS, AND TABLING EVENTS WILL EACH PROVIDE GREATER AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF FAIR HOUSING LAWS TO ALL THOSE WHO ATTEND. SPECIFICALLY, OUTREACH IS TARGETED TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS (RESIDENTS, HOUSING SEEKERS, SCHOOL GROUPS, CHURCHES, ETC.), SOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS (NONPROFITS, SHELTERS, ETC.), AND HOUSING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS (REALTORS, PROPERTY MANAGERS, LANDLORDS, APPRAISERS, LENDERS, ETC.). HOPE'S PROJECT WILL PROVIDE THESE GROUPS WITH THE TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO RECOGNIZE AND RESPOND TO FAIR HOUSING DISCRIMINATION.
