The National Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc. (NSSF) was awarded a $134,050 Project Grant from the U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service under the Multistate Conservation Grant Program (CFDA 15.628) on January 1, 2025. The funding will be used to develop easy-to-use toolkits that combine various grant-funded and industry resources to help states and shooting range non-governmental organizations (NGOs) maximize the benefits of recent legislative changes allowing more Wildlife Restoration (WR) funding for range development, improvement, expansion, operations, and marketing. NSSF will share these consolidated resources directly with public and private ranges, as well as through NSSF and other shooting sport NGO communications, recorded webinars, and in-person presentations. The goal is to improve states' and NGOs' ability to build new ranges, enhance existing facilities, increase participation, and achieve greater results from future WR investments in shooting range infrastructure.
