Description

Nfwf is pleased to continue our partnership with FWS to support nfwf-USFWS conservation partnership 2024. Fiscal year (FY) 2024 FWS funds in the amount of $5.29M are requested by nfwf which will be matched at a minimum of 1:1 with non-federal cash and in-kind contributions to support conservation programs that meet the mutual missions to further the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, plants, and other natural resources (P.L. 98-244). Nfwf runs several competitive sub-award programs. These funds will be sub-awarded through the competitive programs. All of the funding is directed to on-the-ground conservation and no funds are used to support nfwfs administrative costs.nfwf is the nations largest private conservation grant-maker supporting more than 22,000 projects in all 50 states and generating a total conservation impact of more than $10 billion. Nfwf is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization lead by a board of directors approved by the secretary of interior.
