Description

The stations will be installed on the rooftops of tall buildings owned by the pokagon band in new buffalo, michigan, and south bend and elkhart, indiana -- locations that represent gaps in the existing motus monitoring network. Placement on rooftops will also allow unobstructed views for antenna arrays, and the buildings will provide a direct power source for the stations. In addition to installing the motus monitoring stations, the pokagon band will communicate results of the project both within the pokagon tribal community as well as to other federally recognized tribes through regional meetings. Deliverables will include station set-up documentation, publicly available motus data, and an expanded motus monitoring network.
