The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $219,996 project grant under the Promotion of the Humanities Professional Development program (CFDA 45.163) to the Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange Between East and West, Inc. (East-West Center) for the project "CONTEMPORARY ASIAS: PLURALITIES BEYOND AREAS." The project will explore recent changes in the production, structuring, and sharing of knowledge about Asian cultures and societies, and how these changes might foster more collaborative, responsive, and pluralistic knowledge communities. The performance period for this grant runs from October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025. The East-West Center, a non-profit organization in Honolulu, Hawaii, will implement this project to promote mutual understanding between the United States and the Asia-Pacific region through educational, cultural, and professional exchange programs.
