The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded $262,500 to the Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (Keddo) under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). Keddo will use these funds from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025 to develop and implement a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the seven-county Kiamichi region of southeastern Oklahoma. As part of the EDA Planning program, this CEDS process will bring together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap aimed at diversifying and strengthening the regional economy in Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, Pittsburg, and Pushmataha counties.
