The East Central Idaho Planning and Development Association Inc. was awarded $562,500 under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program by the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration to update and implement a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a nine-county region in eastern Idaho through March 2025. The CEDS process brings together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. As the designated planning organization for the region comprising Bonneville, Butte, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, and Teton Counties, East Central Idaho Planning and Development Association Inc. will facilitate the CEDS planning process and coordinate regional collaboration around economic development efforts through March 2025.
