The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration awarded a $770,000 Project Grant under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations federal grant program (CFDA 11.302) to the Southeast Nebraska Development District to develop and implement a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a 14-county region in southeast Nebraska from July 1, 2022 through March 31, 2025. The CEDS process will bring together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy by identifying and prioritizing projects and initiatives. The Southeast Nebraska Development District will serve as the awardee and lead the development and implementation of the CEDS for the counties of Cass, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Polk, Richardson, Saline, Saunders, Seward, and York.
