The Womens Foundation Of Arkansas received a $375,000 Project Grant award from the Delta Regional Authority under the Delta Area Economic Development (CFDA 90.201) program on October 1, 2023. The grant funding will support the Tjuana Byrd Internship Program, which provides job training, employment education, and business development services for women in the Little Rock, Arkansas region. This award builds on the organization's prior experience administering federal grants, including a $100,000 award from the Delta Regional Authority in 2020 for a Regional Women's Economic Mobility Hub project, as well as serving as a subrecipient on grants from the Department of Education's Student Achievement and Vision Education (SAVE) program in recent fiscal years. The Tjuana Byrd Internship Program aims to promote women's economic mobility, job training, employment education, and business development with an emphasis on entrepreneurship in the Little Rock community.
