About this award

Invizyne Technologies, Inc. received a two-year, $496,177 Project Grant from the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E) under the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (CFDA #81.135) federal grant program. The grant will support Invizyne's work to simplify reactor setup for cell-free biofuel production through developing a new method of cell growth and induced tagged pathways to streamline and reduce the cost of enzyme isolation. Specifically, Invizyne proposes to build upon demonstrated production of isobutanol, a second-generation biofuel, to significantly improve production parameters and reduce costs by developing techniques to obtain cofactors ten times cheaper. The funding will allow Invizyne to deliver more affordable cell-free biofuel production methods supporting ARPA-E's mission to advance energy technologies.

Description

Invizyne technologies, INC., new sbir award under FOA number DE-FOA-0001954 (seed) with project title ''simplifying reactor setup for cell-free biofuel production'' to use demonstrated production of the 2ND generation biofuel isobutanol to improve these production parameters significantly and have virtually extinguished a major contributor to cogs by developing methods to obtain 10X cheaper cofactors. Invizyne propose to develop a new method, of cell grow/induce tagged pathways, to simplify and reduce the cost of enzyme isolation.
