The Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service awarded Nebraska Indian Community College $265,220 on September 24, 2025, under the Community Facilities Loans and Grants program (CFDA 10.766). The award is a Project Grant with a period of performance through September 24, 2027, and place of performance in Macy, Nebraska. Nebraska Indian Community College, a tribally controlled 1994 Land Grant College, will use the funding to develop an essential community facility project serving Native American communities. The program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas that provide essential services to local communities for orderly development and exclude private, commercial, or business undertakings. Priority is given to projects enhancing public safety such as fire, police, rescue and ambulance services, and health care facilities.
