Description
Community project funding/congressionally directed spending - construction - the delaware-morrow mental health and recovery services board (board) is the statutory authority for the planning, funding, monitoring and evaluating of public behavioral health services in delaware and morrow counties in central ohio. We are a 14 member board with 7 staff who oversee behavioral health services within our two county catchment area. The meadow center is a board owned outpatient behavioral health facility constructed in 1991 with state and local funding and is located in the county seat of morrow county - mount gilead. The meadow center is on a 2.68 acre parcel and is currently occupied by two board contracted 501(c)3 mental health and substance use treatment providers, with a third provider committed to occupancy post renovation. Space for a fourth provider who will serve children and families and provide school based mental health care will be added with this expansion. The facility requires renovation to modernize the facility and improve access to behavioral health care in morrow county, a rural county lacking resources and services. This project will update the existing +/- 10,980 SF facility to meet code regulations, provide security updates, maximize square footage and utilization of features for the staff and consumers who are current occupants and visitors. IT will also add an additional 7,210 SF of outpatient treatment space to serve children, families and offer secure crisis assessment capacity.
