Description
Taos alive hopes to host a series of events engaging the community in order to simultaneously provide access to local substance misuse prevention, treatment, narcan, and additional supportive services while also providing a lively, entertaining and joyful environment. Taos county health fairs receive poor attendance. On the other hand, the town of taos creates large concerts that include alcohol sales. We lack family friendly events that do not include substances or required payment. Covid-19 left our children with decreased social skills, and an increased sense of anxiety and loneliness. Our community needs positive experiences and opportunities to RE-learn that gathering together in a sober and positive environment can help curb their desire for substances.
