This $189,575 federal Project Grant award from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Promotion of the Humanities Professional Development program (CFDA 45.163) will support two one-week workshops for educators to learn about the Japanese American incarceration during World War II. The workshops will utilize faculty members from the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation staff as well as outside experts. The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, a non-profit organization, operates the Heart Mountain Interpretive Center, a National Historic Landmark site that preserves and shares the story of the Heart Mountain World War II Japanese American confinement site. This grant funding will enable the Foundation to develop educational resources and curriculum centered on the history and civic lessons of the Japanese American incarceration experience.

We will use faculty members from our staff as well as outside experts.]
