DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO ELKO BAND TO THE TE-MOAK TRIBE BUILD ITS CAPACITY TO ADMINISTER MULTI-MEDIA ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS ON INDIAN LANDS BY ADMINISTERING THE TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICE, ENHANCE TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICAL CAPACITY, BUILDING TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL FINANCIAL CAPACITY, REVIEWING AND UPDATING THE TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN, ENGAGING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH, IMPLEMENTING SOLID WASTE ACTIVITIES, BUILDING CAPACITY FOR TRIBAL AIR PROGRAM AS ALLOWABLE UNDER GENERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PARTICIPATING IN MEANINGFUL CONSULTATION WITH FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL AGENCIES, AND BUILDING STAFF CAPACITY FOR TIMELY AND APPROPRIATE RESPONSE TO ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCIES. DIRECT BENEFICIARIES OF THIS PROGRAM ARE THE MEMBERS AND/OR RESIDENTS OF THE ELKO BAND OF THE TE-MOAK TRIBE.
