THE ENGINE REPLACEMENTS WILL REDUCE EMISSIONS OF DIESEL PARTICULATE MATTER, NITROGEN OXIDES AND OTHER POLLUTANTS.ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE PROCUREMENT OF NEW MARINE ENGINES AND SCRAPPAGE OF EXISTING ENGINES. SUBRECIPIENT:A SUBAWARD WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SUBRECIPIENTS (VESSEL OWNERS) IDENTIFIED IN THE WORK PLAN. THE ACTIVITIES TO BE IMPLEMENTED THROUGH THE SUBAWARD ENTAIL REPLACING OLDER DIESEL MARINE ENGINES WITH NEW, CLEANER DIESEL ENGINES.
