Funding catalyst: nchh proposes to invest $75,000 of project funding in communities to strengthen the ecosystem that provides accountability for addressing indoor environmental determinants of health and increasing capacity to address indoor air quality holistically. Nchh will distribute these funds through a competitive solicitation(s) awarding micro-investments with customized technical assistance and a rolling application to receive flexible scholarship awards. Activities:the activities include operating as a field builder, field catalyst, and funding catalyst. Specifically, nchh plans to perform the following activities during this project: - expand the existing IAQ central tools library. - provide flexible and responsive technical assistance, resources, and support to states, tribes, and communities designed to increase their capacity/readiness to advance specific strategies to improve indoor air quality. - intentionally expand representation of broader sectors/ perspectives and impacted voices in external and internal IAQ discussions. - conduct outreach and participation efforts to expand inclusion of the housing sector viewpoint in IAQ discussions. - conduct outreach and recruitment of communities for potential mini-grant and/or scholarship award. - distribute approximately $75,000 of project funds through a competitive solicitation(s) awarding micro-investments with customized technical assistance and a rolling application to receive flexible scholarship awards. - provide micro-investments (e.g., scholarships, mini-grants) to remove barriers to innovative actions. Subrecipient:nchh proposes to invest $75,000 of project funding in communities to strengthen the ecosystem that provides accountability for addressing iedoh and increasing capacity to address indoor air quality (IAQ) holistically. Nchh will work during the first six months of the award to develop a concise plan/approach to distribute these funds through two pathways: (1) a competitive solicitation(s) awarding micro-investments combined with customized technical assistance to provide communities an 'on-ramp' to applying for larger, sustainable funding opportunities to support IAQ initiatives, and (2) a rolling application to receive flexible, discrete scholarship awards valued at $7,500 or less to remove barriers constraining innovative action
