The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center awarded the SETI Institute $688,445 on June 2, 2026, under the Science program (CFDA 43.001), a Project Grant supporting execution of a balanced science program aligned with National Academies guidance and congressional direction.
The SETI Institute will deliver research and scientific investigation activities through June 1, 2029, performing work at its Mountain View, California location. The Science program funds competitively selected research across astrophysics, biological and physical sciences, Earth science, heliophysics, and planetary science, with evaluation based on scientific merit, technical quality, personnel qualifications, facilities and resources, relevance to NASA's strategic objectives, and cost reasonableness.
