Commodities project of $2,000,000

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded a $2,000,000 Project Grant under the Foreign Assistance to American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) program (CFDA 98.006) to the Ashesi University Foundation. The 2-year grant, effective October 1, 2023, will fund a commodities project at Ashesi University in Ghana. The Ashesi University Foundation, a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supports the operations of Ashesi University, a liberal arts institution in Ghana with a mission to educate ethical, entrepreneurial leaders. This award builds upon the Foundation's prior USAID grants for commodities and construction projects at Ashesi University. The ASHA program provides assistance to overseas schools and libraries founded or sponsored by U.S. citizens to serve as study and demonstration centers for American principles and practices.
