The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a $8M project grant under the Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas program (CFDA 98.001) to the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) for a multi-sectoral humanitarian response in South Sudan. The funding will support DRC's provision of lifesaving emergency assistance, including shelter, protection, and gender-based violence services, to communities impacted by displacement, conflict, economic challenges, and climate shocks. This 1-year award aims to deliver a comprehensive package of protection, camp coordination and camp management, shelter and settlements, and water, sanitation, and hygiene services to the targeted population in South Sudan through January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
