A new award to provide urgent emergency cash and water, sanitation and hygiene assistance to disaster affected populations

This Project Grant award of $1,250,000.00 from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas (CFDA 98.001) program will provide urgent emergency cash, water, sanitation and hygiene assistance to disaster-affected populations in the Philippines.

The primary awardee, Fundacion Accion Contra El Hambre (doing business as No Hambre!), is an international non-profit organization that specializes in delivering humanitarian aid and development services globally. Under this award, No Hambre! will implement a comprehensive multi-sector response to address the critical needs of vulnerable communities impacted by a severe tropical storm. This will include the provision of emergency cash assistance, as well as water, sanitation and hygiene interventions to prevent further loss of lives and enable recovery. No Hambre! will also partner with sub-grantee CARE, a global humanitarian organization, to enhance the scope and effectiveness of the emergency response activities.
