About this award
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded a $1,200,000 Project Grant under the Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas (CFDA 98.001) program to Stichting International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO), a non-profit organization, for its INSO Haiti program. The funding will be used by INSO to provide essential safety coordination, information sharing, and capacity building services to humanitarian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in the high-risk environment of Haiti. Specifically, INSO will deliver security cooperation, training, and support services to mitigate risks to staff safety, operations, and improve access to beneficiaries. INSO has extensive experience providing similar vital security information, coordination, needs assessments, and training to NGO partners across conflict-affected regions in Africa under previous USAID grants. This new award will enable INSO to extend its services to the humanitarian community in Haiti from the grant start date of June 6, 2024 through the ultimate completion date of June 5, 2025.
