Nikolai village transportation program funding FY 2025

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) awarded Nikolai Village $555,989.22 through the Highway Planning and Construction program (CFDA 20.205) on April 22, 2025, to support the Nikolai Village Transportation Program for fiscal year 2025. Under the FHWA Office of Tribal Transportation (OTT) program agreement, these funds provide comprehensive transportation infrastructure support to this federally recognized Alaska Native tribal government located in Nikolai, Alaska.

The grant funding supports critical transportation infrastructure development and improvement projects serving the Nikolai community. As a consistent recipient of FHWA transportation funding since 2021, Nikolai Village utilizes these project grant awards to address essential infrastructure needs in this rural Alaska location, with ongoing support through fiscal year 2026. The funding aligns with the broader Highway Planning and Construction program's objectives of supporting highway construction, preservation, improvement, and safety enhancements for eligible communities across the United States.
