The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded a $666,666.67 Project Grant under the Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106) to the City of Chickasha, Oklahoma. This grant will fund the construction of 11,780 square feet of T-hangars for aircraft storage at the Chickasha airport. The project aims to help the airport become more self-sustaining by generating revenue from the hangar facilities. The grant covers 75% of the total project cost, with the remaining eligible portion funded through a separate bipartisan infrastructure law program. This award will provide critical infrastructure to support aviation operations and economic activity in the Chickasha area.
