The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded a $1,101,111.11 Project Grant to the Alliance Municipal Airport under the Airport Improvement Program (CFDA 20.106) on July 10, 2024. The grant funding will be used to reseal and resurface 15,393 feet of existing runway pavement and joints across two runways at the non-primary airport in Alliance, Nebraska. This project aims to extend the useful life of the runway infrastructure and support the ongoing operational sustainability of the airport, which serves the Alliance region. The FAA's Airport Improvement Program provides federal grants to support critical airport infrastructure development and maintenance projects nationwide, contributing to the agency's strategic goals of safety, people, global leadership, and operational excellence.
