Description
The eastern monarch butterfly population has plummeted by more than 80% to 90% since the 1990S with a 95% population decline of their western populations. Similarly, loss of habitat is having a negative impact on the populations of migratory birds and bats. To address and promote actions to reverse these downward trends, the lower phalen creek project will focus work along the phalen creek corridor while continuing to restore habitat for migratory wildlife while providing educational, cultural, and leadership opportunities for youth and residents in ST. Paul, minnesota.
