THE STATE OF VERMONT WILL USE THESE FUNDS TO SUPPORT A TRAINING OFFICER WITH THE GOALS OF PROVIDING TRAINING PLANS FOR STAFF, DEVELOPING EMERGENCY RESPONSE, COMMUNICATIONS AND OPERATIONAL PROTOCOLS FOR INSTATE RESPONSE, AS WELL AS SUPPORTING EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING. THE TRAINING FOCUS WILL BE ON STATE RESOURCES WITH A GOAL OF IMPROVING PLANNING AND OPERATIONS CAPABILITIES, STRENGTHENING THE ABILITY TO MANAGE INSTATE INCIDENTS, AND INCREASING QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS.
