EXPANDING PARTICIPATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR FACULTY AT PRIMARILY UNDERGRADUATE INSTITUTIONS -THIS AWARD WILL PROVIDE TRAVEL STIPENDS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR EARLY- TO MID-CAREER GEOSCIENCE FACULTY FROM NON-R1 U.S. TWO-YEAR COLLEGES (2YCS) AND FOUR-YEAR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (4YCS) TO ATTEND A PROFESSIONAL GEOSCIENCES CONFERENCE. PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCES SERVE AS A HUB FOR KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE, PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. THE PROGRAM EXTENDS BEYOND TRADITIONAL TRAVEL SUPPORT BY INCORPORATING INTENTIONAL MECHANISMS FOR SUSTAINED ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.
