A) Outreach and provision of materials/digital information to increase farmworker women's knowledge about gender-based violence and harassment, their rights, and how to prevent and mitigate such issues.
B) Referrals and accompaniment to local legal, health, mental health, and social services providers.
C) Legal intake and consultation for women who want to report abuses.
D) Training, technical assistance, and mentoring for farmworker women to become peer advocates for their co-workers.
The expected outcomes are to equip farmworker women, their families, and communities with critical information; increase their awareness of labor rights and how to seek assistance; provide legal aid for those experiencing gender-based violence and harassment; and empower farmworker women to become engaged leaders and advocates in their communities. The grant period runs from September 30, 2024 to May 6, 2025.
