THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT IS TO OPEN PATHWAYS FOR CHILDREN IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITES WITH BOOK CHOICE, BOOK OWNERSHIP, AND LITERACY PROGRAMMING. TO DO THIS READ USA WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING HIGH-LEVEL ACTIVITIES: LEVERAGING RESOURCES, DEVELOPMENT OF VOLUNTEER TRACKING SYSTEM, IDENTIFYING FUNDING SOURCES, AND DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS AND PARTNERSHIPS. THIS WILL BENEFIT YOUNG ADOLESCENTS AND TEENS (K-12), COLLEGE STUDENTS, AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS. GENERAL EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE INCREASED PROGRAM REACH, IMPROVED JOB READINESS, STRENGTHENED PARTNERSHIPS, AND INCREASED VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT.
