TO DO THIS IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION WILL HAVE 12 VISTA MEMBERS CONTIBUTE TO THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT BY PERFORMING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS GATHERING COMMUNITY RESOURCES NEEDED WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL IS LEAVING A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, MENTORSHIP, GATHER AND REPORT RELEVANT DATA, RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS, AND HAS THE GENERAL EXPECTED OUTCOME TO INCREASE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF REENTRY EFFORTS FROM INCARCERATION TO REDUCE RECIDIVISM RATE IN IDAHO OVER THE COURSE OF FIVE YEARS. THIS WILL BENEFIT ABOUT 35% OF THE INDIVIDUALS RETURNING TO SOCIETY FROM INCARCERATION OR ABOUT 1,575 RETURNING CITIZENS.
