Description
A different chick farm orchard will significantly expand its operations and market reach by acquiring specialized equipment designed to substantially increase the volume of hot sauces and spice blends produced from its certified organic hot peppers. This equipment will enable the farm to broaden its distribution to include regional grocery outlets and consumers throughout northeast tennessee western north carolina and southwest virginia. The anticipated outcome is a considerable boost in the value of their produce capitalizing on the existing processing capabilities that can triple the value of their fresh sales. Farmers ranchers and processors within these geographic areas will benefit from access to a greater supply of highquality certified organic pepperbased products. The projects success will contribute to a strengthened domestic organic supply chain and provide opportunities for other organic producers in the region to access similar processing
