About this award

Written by GovTribe AI ·

The Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a $5.85 million Project Grant to the Oregon Department of Forestry on February 10, 2023 for fire recovery restoration efforts through November 14, 2027. The funding supports services delivered under the Cooperative Forestry Assistance federal grant program (CFDA #10.664), which aims to assist in advancing forest resource management and conservation. Specifically, the award will enable restoration of lands impacted by wildfires through producing and distributing tree seeds and seedlings to affected areas in Oregon. As the sub-awardee, the State of Oregon Office of the Governor will oversee delivery of these reforestation products and services through the Oregon Department of Forestry. The award will facilitate recovery and conservation efforts on nonfederal forest and rural lands damaged by fires.
