AN ESTIMATED 342 SENIOR CORPS RSVP VOLUNTEERS WILL SERVE. OF THIS NUMBER, 182 VOLUNTEERS WILL BE PLACED IN OUTCOME ASSIGNMENTS. SOME OF THEIR ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE COMPANIONSHIP, NUTRITION/FOOD SUPPORT, TRANSPORTATION, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION, AND TAX PREPARATION. THE PRIMARY FOCUS AREA OF THIS PROJECT IS HEALTHY FUTURES AND WILL PRIMARILY ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF OLDER VERMONTERS. AT THE END OF THE THREE-YEAR GRANT, OUR SENIOR CORPS RSVP VOLUNTEERS WILL HAVE SERVED OVER 3000 PEOPLE AND HAVE OVER $500,000.00 OF TAX RETURNS GENERATED.
