OUR COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS HEADED BY A BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, CONSISTING OF THREE FULL-TIME COMMISSIONERS. EACH COMMISSIONER IS ELECTED FOR A FOUR-YEAR TERM. THE UTAH COUNTY FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM, ALONG WITH THE SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM, COMPRISE THE SENIOR SERVICES DIVISION OF THE UTAH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT. VOLUNTEER SERVICE YEARS REQUESTED: 45 VOLUNTEERS WILL SERVE A MINIMUM OF 35,100 HOURS AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $5977.67 PER VOLUNTEER. AMOUNT REQUESTED: $268,995, SUPPLEMENTED BY NON-FEDERAL FUNDS OF $183,076. VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT PLANS, VOLUNTEER TIME SHEETS AND PROGRAM-CONDUCTED TEACHER (OR OTHER APPROPRIATE STATION STAFF) SURVEYS/OBSERVATIONS WILL HELP TO GATHER AND SUPPORT DATA.
