The Facilitating Opportunities for Re-entry and Workforce Advancement Through Agricultural Development (COD-FORWARD) project will provide comprehensive education and training services to 93 under-resourced and incarcerated students seeking employment in the sustainable urban agriculture sector. The deliverables include employer-recognized stackable certificates in urban farming and sustainable agriculture, coupled with integrated classroom instruction and hands-on practical training. The college will provide wraparound support services including academic mentoring, paid internships, and student engagement opportunities to ensure workforce readiness.
