The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration awarded Veterans Inc. $1.8375 million under the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (CFDA 64.033) on October 1, 2025.
Veterans Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, will provide supportive services to very low-income veteran families residing in permanent housing, experiencing homelessness while scheduled to transition to permanent housing, or seeking housing after exiting permanent housing. The organization must deliver outreach services, case management, assistance in obtaining VA benefits, and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits. Veterans Inc. may also provide temporary financial assistance paid directly to third parties on behalf of participants for child care, emergency housing assistance, transportation, rental assistance, utility and security deposit payments, moving costs, and general housing stability assistance including emergency supplies. Additional optional services include legal assistance and financial management services.
The award covers a period of performance from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026, with place of performance in Montana. The assistance type is a Project Grant, which supports rapid rehousing of literally homeless veterans and homelessness prevention services designed to help veteran families access and sustain permanent rental housing without preconditions while facilitating access to health care, employment, legal services, and other supports.
