Description

The proposed crisis alert software allows any staff or student to initiate a security breach notification which is then immediately available to all school personnel. Cameras would allow for local police and school security personnel to monitor access points from a central location and relay any concerns or breaches to other personnel. Laptops would allow for stationed school resource officers to communicate with other police in other buildings and maintain a station in the building as opposed to leaving the school to return to the police station for incident entries. Camera software installed on the laptops would allow the officer to see footage anywhere in the building. New two-way radios will enable more reliable communication across the district buildings and with local law enforcement. Automated license plate readers near district schools will boost local police surveillance for high-risk individuals near schools. Additionally, a new server is needed to handle the additional cameras.
