The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration awarded The Road Home $2,128,143 under the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (CFDA 64.033) on October 1, 2025.
The Road Home, doing business as Travelers Aid Society, will provide outreach services, case management services, assistance in obtaining VA benefits, and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits to very low-income veteran families residing in permanent housing, homeless and scheduled to transition to permanent housing, or seeking housing after exiting permanent housing. The recipient may also provide temporary financial assistance paid directly to third parties on behalf of participants for child care, emergency housing assistance, transportation, rental assistance, utility-fee payment assistance, security deposits, utility deposits, moving costs, and general housing stability assistance including emergency supplies. Optional supportive services include legal assistance and financial management services.
The recipient is a tax-exempt nonprofit based in South Salt Lake, Utah, with a primary operational focus on emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, and case management services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Performance occurs in Utah. The period of performance runs from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.
