The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration awarded Soldier On of Delaware, Inc. $4.217 million under the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (CFDA 64.033) on October 1, 2025, for a one-year period ending September 30, 2026.
Soldier On provides required outreach services, case management, assistance in obtaining VA benefits, and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits to very low-income veteran families residing in permanent housing, homeless and scheduled to transition to permanent housing, or recently exited from permanent housing. The recipient may also deliver temporary financial assistance paid directly to third parties on behalf of participants for child care, emergency housing assistance, transportation, rental assistance, utility-fee payment assistance, security deposits, utility deposits, moving costs, and general housing stability assistance including emergency supplies. Optional supportive services may include legal assistance and financial management services.
