The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Under Secretary for Health awarded New Mexico Veterans Integration Centers (Fermin Division) $1,676,193 under the VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (CFDA 64.033) on October 1, 2025.
The recipient will provide outreach services, case management, assistance in obtaining VA benefits, and assistance in obtaining and coordinating other public benefits to very low-income veteran families residing in permanent housing, experiencing homelessness and scheduled to transition to permanent housing, or exiting permanent housing and seeking responsive housing. The recipient may also provide temporary financial assistance paid directly to third parties on behalf of participants for child care, emergency housing assistance, transportation, rental assistance, utility and security deposit payment, moving costs, and general housing stability assistance including emergency supplies. Optional services may include legal assistance and financial management services.
