IN THE FIRST YEAR, THIS PROJECT WILL AIM TO ASSIST AT LEAST 30 FORMER FOSTER YOUTH TO ACHIEVE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY, PROVIDE SERVICES FOR AT LEAST 50 NEW FOSTER/ADOPT/RELATIVE FAMILIES, AND RAISE 1 MILLION NEW DOLLARS TO SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF THESE PROGRAMS BENEFITING LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN KANSAS AND MISSOURI. EIGHT VISTA MEMBERS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT BY PERFORMING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS GRANT WRITING, FUNDRAISING, AND BUILDING COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS OVER THE COURSE OF THREE YEARS.
