Description

Of this number, 33 rsvp volunteers will be placed in outcome assignments. Some of their activities will include food delivery, food distribution, staffing hotline, and other community-based activities that serve veterans. The primary focus area of this project is healthy futures (aging in place). At the end of the three- year grant, we anticipate that our outcomes will provide a very high percentage of program beneficiaries, about 80 percent, with a sense of social connectedness for seniors who participate in the home delivered meal programs by providing nutritional and stable food, social interaction and independence. We also expect to provide stability and support to veterans, cancer patients, and their families. We will promote independent living and an increased quality of life for many, including families in need of food assistance. The cncs federal investment of zero dollars will be supplemented by $57,400.00 of non-federal resources through the state grant. The project director has updated the target numbers on all the performance measures to reflect the current volunteer placement.
