Description

Programs of CSSMV are designed to promote self-sufficiency for individuals and families. The proposed vista project aligns with the cncs focus of economic opportunity. Catholic social services offers a broad range of programming including: early childhood education, pantry services, parenting supports, emergency financial assistance, case management, financial education, mental health counseling, refugee resettlement services, and senior services. Each year, nearly 23,000 individuals are served through programs offered at CSSMV. The proposed vista project is to build program capacity and enhance client outcomes through the coordination of a two-generation approach to service delivery. Presently, CSSMV's broad range of services provide supports for both children and adults. However, there is room for improved collaboration between programs to offer families wrap-around supports to promote family stability and economic security. The 2 GEN vista project utilizes vista members in the planning, development, and implementation of system changes to improve service delivery, broaden client and community impact, and support positive client outcomes across agency programming. The goal of the 2 GEN vista project is to reach existing clients in new ways by providing a process for linking clients of one CSSMV program to appropriate services in another program in order to comprehensively address the needs of families to promote stabilization. Additionally, the 2 GEN vista project will aide in the development of a new point of entry system for clients seeking services which will allow new clients to be directed to services more efficiently. Finally, through a more holistic approach to services, the ultimate goal is to support the self-sufficiency and stability of families seeking services.
