Description

The proposed vista project aligns with the cncs education focus area. The vista project will seek to build Y.O.U.'s capacity to bring additional academic, social, and emotional resources, opportunities, and supports to low-income youth and families in our programs – further empowering them to realize their full potential and build a pathway out of poverty, and expects to benefit 1,600 youth and 4,000 family members. Five vista members will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as building upon and redeveloping our volunteer recruitment and training program, increasing our outreach and partnership development capacity, establishing sustainable facilities practices for our new youth center and administrative building, and building to develop resources that support parents of youth participants and enhance organizational parental engagement strategies.
