WE GROW TEACHER LEADERS, STUDENT LEADERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE PROPOSED VISTA PROJECT ALIGNS WITH THE EDUCATION & HEALTHY FUTURES FOCUS AREA. THE VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK TO SUPPORT OVERALL STUDENT WELLNESS, CREATE A DIVERSE, CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM, DEVELOP INTEGRATED AND SOCIAL JUSTICE ALIGNED CURRICULUM, RESEARCH BEST PRACTICES FOR VIBRANT OUTDOOR/INDOOR RECESS OPPORTUNITIES AND INCREASE CAPACITY TO SERVE EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS ACROSS RHODE ISLAND. VISTAS WILL BE MEMBERS OF A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM STRATEGICALLY CHARGED WITH BUILDING SYSTEMS TO ENROLL AS MANY CENTRAL FALLS RESIDENTS INTO THE STATION AS POSSIBLE. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE MARCH 2019: IN CENTRAL FALLS, THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE VISTA SERVING WITH THE OFFICE ON HEALTH AS THE COMMUNITY HEALTH VISTA. THIS MEMBER WILL STILL BE A PART OF THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM FOCUSED ON SUPPORTING THE SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER PREVENTION TASK FORCE IN VARIOUS WAYS.
