The Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Victims of Crime awarded the Native Village of Tanacross $256,619 on October 1, 2025, under the VOCA Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Program (CFDA 16.841). The tribe will use the funds to address crime victim needs in and around Tanacross, Alaska, through a broad range of reasonable and necessary expenses supporting victim services in the American Indian/Alaska Native community. The award period runs through September 30, 2026, with place of performance in Tok, Alaska. The program provides support exclusively to federally recognized Indian tribes, Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act regional corporations, and their authorized designees to develop, expand, and enhance victim service projects and training and technical assistance.
