The Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Victims of Crime awarded $256,619 to the Native Village of Eagle on January 1, 2026, under the VOCA Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Program (16.841) to address crime victim services in and around Eagle, Alaska.
The Native Village of Eagle, the federally recognized tribal government operating as Eagle Village Council, will use the funding to support the provision of services to crime victims in the community. The award covers a broad range of reasonable and necessary expenses to serve crime victims through December 31, 2028. Work is performed in Eagle, Alaska.
The VOCA Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Program is a non-competitive, discretionary administrative formula program open only to federally recognized Indian Tribes (applying individually or as consortia), Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act regional corporations, and their authorized designees. The program provides support to American Indian and Alaska Native communities to develop victim service projects and provide training and technical assistance services to eligible crime victim assistance programs. The program is funded under a five-percent set-aside from the Crime Victims Fund.
