This $950,000 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime (CFDA 16.320 - Services for Trafficking Victims) will enable The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) to expand and strengthen Oregon's capacity to serve victims of human trafficking. The project aims to: 1) collaborate with providers to identify and address the needs of survivors of all forms of human trafficking; 2) provide comprehensive, individualized services to survivors; and 3) increase stakeholder and community understanding of the needs of immigrant and refugee survivors through outreach and education. Key activities will include attending taskforces, providing victims with advocacy, assistance, referrals, and trauma-informed support, and delivering trainings to community stakeholders. IRCO will partner with Barcelona Counseling to provide trauma-informed, multilingual mental health services. The project will focus service delivery on Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Malheur counties in Oregon and runs from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2027.
