This Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) under the VOCA Tribal Victim Services Set-Aside Program (CFDA 16.841) provides $396,816 to the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) to implement victim services that meet the needs and reflect the values and traditions of Nevada's tribal communities. The funding will be used to develop, expand, and enhance comprehensive victim support programs, including victim advocacy, shelter, counseling, and legal assistance services tailored to the specific requirements of the 28 tribal nations served by ITCN. This award, effective January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027, aligns with the Congressional intent to improve victim services in tribal communities through the set-aside from the Crime Victims Fund created in 2018.

This aligns with the congressional intent for the set-aside from the CVF, which was created in 2018 to improve services for victims of crime in tribal communities. OVC administers the tvssa via a formula. Tvssa funds may be used for any purpose directly related to serving victims of crime.
